What
is the range of the 22 string travel / Survival harp?
The range runs
from G below middle C in the base to the G three octaves above.
How do I order an instrument or ask
other questions?
Click on this link here.
Why are the strings nylon?
To ensure stability and durability when travelling. A gut
option is now being developed.
Are
they available with partial lever fits?
Yes, we will put
levers wherever you want them. We use Brough levers and you can
look at them in detail on the Brough website: HERE.
Can I get a case or bag for it?
I am having padded bags developed at the moment but I resisted
this for many years because everyone wants something different -
shoulder bags, back packs, slipcases etc. The harp was originally
designed to lie easily in a medium sized suitcase with plenty of room
for clothes alongside it. It will travel safely like this and if
packed well, will arrive safely. Please enquire direct about
padded bags.
Will it fit an airline overhead locker?
Some makers claim that their 22 string harps will fit
overhead lockers. This may be true on some internal flights but
as restrictions become more widespread I doubt that many 22 string
harps will fit overhead unless they disassemble. I think that
arriving at an airport with a 22 string harp, hoping to get it into an
overhead locker could be a gamble. What to do if it is refused
and you have to put it in the hold? A harp that fits an overhead locker
would have to be of around 16 strings. Our travel harps are best
shipped as described in the question above about padded bags. See
dimensions below.
What
are the harp's dimensions?
Please see the
diagram below: A= 17" (43cm) B= 25" (64cm) C= 4"
(10cm) D= 26.5" (67cm) E= 6" (15cm)
Pleaes note these measurements are approximate.
